What Can U Get Drunk Off Not Alcohol

Epiphany between legend and history

The epiphany is a religious holiday that commemorates the "manifestation", the "apparition" of the Son of God on earth. That baby was just born the true epiphany. The Wise Men, Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar, departed from the East to Bethlehem with their gifts: gold, frankincense and myrrh. Along the way, others joined them faithful to go to visit the King of Kings is only an old woman initially refused to follow them, then pentitasi went out looking for them and, knocking on every door, left a gift for each child .
The episode of the old lady is of course the legend that is grafted on the history and time, imagination, the witch has become the old lady who goes down the chimney of the roof to dispense gifts. Other religious holidays have been transformed: Carnival masks, sea Ferragosto, the Feast of the Dead with Halloween. Our religion is influenced by pagan aspects, such as the historical legacy of the many cultures that come through our area but also the laws of the market and worldliness.
Over time, the religious parties have lost some 'of their initial value with the evocation of the biblical and participation in liturgical functions. How do today to decouple the feast of the Epiphany from buying toys and sweets? How not to buy expensive gifts to impress with their children, wives, girlfriends, especially with the little to which one must do in the race for the toy "latest fashion".

Over the centuries, perhaps we too cherished the fact that our religion was by definition, do not fear any comparison. We noticed, over time, it is not so. Our Christian religion is one of many that has its own truth and not the most practiced. It 's the religion we profess, we believe in, but do not always follow.

The birth of that Child allows us to be called Christians, but sometimes, that the small put aside, mistaking him for a legend, but where is the true story.

Contrary to the climate of open and joyful religious holiday, then we closed the Church's attitudes in dealing with issues such as vocations, gays, divorce, abortion, euthanasia, which are always a difficult gestation for the ethical with which they go up against. Topics of great social impact for which we must take into account the feelings of people, where came the science of relations within the family, conception, without discrimination or position. There is almost an opposition between our beliefs and modernity.

The Church, over time, has followed a courageous and strong, from the very beginning of its origins in the eighth century, Gregory the Great. The "servants of Servus", as he was called, had the idea to make the papacy independent from the Byzantine Empire, making the guidance of the Universal Church. This was his project, which was able to realize, following the vacuum created after the passing of imperial power in the East. The birth of the Church has been through the experience and intelligence of people who have spent all their resources and energies to stabilize the nascent Christian community. Pope Gregory the Great was anxious to assure the Western Christendom fingerprint unit, spreading the liturgy.

The Church must now participate much more to the growth and care of the community, rather than more political aspect. Times change and encroach on our ideas, but they can not disrupt the faith, which is part of us and accompanies us and we can not dodge the issue, but simply viverla.Vivere religious holidays is to participate actively in the Christian life, and not end up going to Mass Pasqualino to do or to give themselves a semblance of Natalino faithful. Religion should be followed, otherwise it is practiced and lived only a sterile attitude and did not make sense to say: "I am not a practicing Catholic," is the religion of our participation, signs, activism and acting firsthand. Indulge in a full lax, almost religious affiliation was as our blood type or eye color, it makes us lose a great opportunity to understand who we are, what we live and we have received as a gift with the birth of that child.
